Meet The Team

Dr. Nasser Karimian

Dr. Nasser Karimian embraced Islam at the tender age of 14 and began a life of research and da’wah, being an active participant in local MSA events and lectures. He received his Bachelor of Arts of Degree from Concordia University with a Major in Religion and a Minor in Classical Arabic Language. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in the History and Philosophy of Religion from the same university. He then continued his Islamic studies in Qalam Institute which is headed by Sheikh Abdul Nasir Jangda. In 2019, he completed his Ph.D. from the International Islamic University Of Malaysia (IIUM) in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion. Dr. Nasser has travelled throughout the US, UK and Canada giving lectures on Islam to various Islamic youth groups and organizations. He joined Al Huda Foundation in 2020 as Imam, Resident Scholar and Youth Director.

Sheikh Hamidullah Qeyam

Sheikh Hamidullah Qeyam is the Director of Islamic Education at Al Huda Foundation. Sheikh Qeyam is the leader of congregational prayers, taraweeh during Ramadan and the Al Huda Quran program. He is a PhD candidate in Anthropology of Islam at Indiana University. He memorized the entire Quran at the age ten, in eight months. He studied Classical Arabic, Fiqh, Tafsir, and Hadith at Madrasat al- Rashidiya – Jawzjan, Afghanistan. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sciences from Seljuk University – Konya, Turkey. He obtained his first Master’s degree in Islamic Law from the same university. He came to Texas, USA, in 2009, where he received his second Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Sheikh Qeyam was the Imam and Outreach Coordinator at Rumi Foundation – Pantego, TX and an Imam and Youth Coordinator at Dallas Islamic Center – Dallas, TX. Before joining Alhuda Foundation, he worked as an Associate Instructor of Arabic Language at the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, Indiana University – Bloomington, Indiana.
